Job Description:

1. Database Design and Development:
   • Design and implement efficient and scalable database structures using DB2.
   • Develop, test, and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and other database objects to support application functionality.
2. Query Optimization:
   • Analyze and optimize SQL queries to ensure optimal database performance.
   • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the database layer.
3. Data Integration:
   • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate database functionality with web and desktop applications.
   • Implement data import/export processes and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) procedures.
4. Database Administration:
   • Perform routine database maintenance tasks, such as backups, restores, and monitoring.
   • Ensure data security, integrity, and availability through proper database configurations.
5. Collaboration:
   • Work closely with software developers, system architects, and other team members to understand application requirements and provide database solutions.
   • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the development process.
6. Documentation:
   • Document database designs, changes, and processes.
   • Maintain up-to-date documentation of database schemas and configurations.
7. Troubleshooting:
   • Investigate and resolve database-related issues reported by users or identified through monitoring tools.
   • Provide timely and effective support for production incidents related to the database layer.
8. Continuous Learning:
