Job Description:
The Engineer II, Software Development will be an integral part of an Agile software development team responsible for the quality and value of the healthcare software applications provided to our customers. The incumbent will configure, code, and document software specifications throughout the life cycle of assigned projects.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated solutions for database-related tasks using Python. This includes automating data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, data validation, UI validation and database testing.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Conducting automated functional and regression testing.
- Integrating automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.
- Creating/Enhancing internal tools/Utilities using Java/Python.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for test automation.
- Analysing and interpreting test results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Conducting code reviews and ensuring the quality of automation scripts.
- Troubleshooting and debugging critical production support issues
- Collaborating with the team to define and implement validation strategies for database applications. Writing Python scripts and utilizing SQL queries to perform data validations, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Utilizing Robot Framework to create and execute test cases and test suites. Writing test scripts using Robot Framework’s keyword-driven syntax and extending its functionality with custom libraries and keywords.
- Developing and maintaining Python scripts and code snippets for various automation tasks, such as data manipulation, data analysis, and report generation. Ensuring the code is well-structured, efficient, and follows best practices.
- Writing SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyse data from databases.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA analysts, database administrators (DBAs), and stakeholders. Collaborating to understand requirements, provide technical support, and troubleshoot issues related to database automation and QA validations.
